Mayor Dalton is the mayor of Umbal City. He welcomes the player as the new Gym Leader when they exit the boat on New Day Plain, and explains to them how to be a gym leader. He can normally be found in Town Hall.

. Mayor Dalton is the final boss of the Pokemon: TGOM main story. He can be fought once the player has reached Rank 7 and can be found in the Badlands in the Rough Riders hideout where you have previously battled Edgar. His Pokemon range in level from 52-56. After a long monologue about his plans of sabotaging the gym leader position, he challenges the player to a battle.

After beating Mayor Dalton, the player is awarded with 1000 Reputation, Gym Leader Rank 8 and is tasked by the Gym Leader Hotline to take care of any leftover requests and to finish building up the city. The player also unlocks Starter Park and Bliss can now have level 99 Blissey when challenged. A new section of the map in the Even Badderlands is also now open to the player.
